Mary Lake Nature SanctuaryWhat's the Latest Buzz?
Thank you so much to the donors who, during
December 2017 gave $12,200 total to be matched.
This means we are almost halfway to the goal
of $25,000 for our matching campaign in just 4 weeks!
Everybody at GVGS is really excited that our sponsor
has agreed to continue matching donations for
the Mary Lake Nature Sanctuary campaign
until we reach $25,000
So we will be extending into 2018 with the 1:1 match.
Donations made now will be eligible for a 2018 charitable tax credit.

WHY SPREAD THE WORD?
With over 1,200 of you receiving our newsletter, we are wondering if you could
tell at least 2 friends about the beautiful Mary Lake Nature Sanctuary.
You can share our website https://www.marylakeconnections.ca/ that provides info about our work of protecting this part of the imperiled Coastal Douglas Fir Ecosystem and important wildlife corridor in the Capital Regional District.
Better yet, why not invite them to come on one of our walks?
In spreading the word, in this way you could help us triple our number of supporters, which is so important to the larger granting organizations that require community involvement and in many cases, funds to match their grants.
“It is the power of all of us coming together as a nature-loving community, that will establish this property as a sanctuary for nature and humans for today as well as the future.” – Koi Neah, Vice Chair of the Greater Victoria Greenbelt Society

and others in the lake while you are here.
Be sure to drop by the Highlands Nature House to check out our latest renovations
and have a warm cup of tea.
These walks will be occurring on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
